    Hey, I'm Gianfranco!

    Senior ML Engineer at Thomson Reuters, based in Zug, Switzerland. I specialize in AI-driven cybersecurity systems — designing and scaling ML and agentic systems that enhance security workflows and enable secure AI deployment. I'm the first ML specialist in the Cybersecurity team, where I shape strategy, build evaluation frameworks, and operationalize AI in high-stakes environments.

    Before that, I was in Thomson Reuters Labs building applied AI products for Tax and Global Trade Management.

    I hold a Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science from Sapienza University of Rome. I started this collection of notes on Obsidian while working on my thesis — now it covers ML, NLP, Recommender Systems, AI Safety, Agentic AI, MLOps, and Cybersecurity.

    When I'm not working, you'll find me swimming, nerding out over specialty coffee, building mechanical keyboards, or cooking.
